New York Book Show

I designed the cover and interior layout for the New York Book Show’s 2016 catalog, celebrating the event’s 30th anniversary. Drawing inspiration from the bold geometric patterns of the 1980s Memphis-Milano design movement—popular at the time the show first began—the design captures a playful yet sophisticated energy. The final piece honored the show's legacy while bringing a fresh, eye-catching look to its milestone year.

The letters were developed from a previously designed typeface (below) to create an image of bold shapes subtly resembling books on a bookshelf, while also hinting at New York skyscrapers.
